Here are four tips on what to do

with your pet's deceased body

while waiting for assistance:

Stay Calm

While it's understandable to feel distressed and emotionally overwhelmed, try to stay calm to make rational and effective decisions.

Preserve the Body

If the wait is going to be lengthy, consider placing your pet's body in a sealed bag or wrapping it in a clean blanket to keep it protected and preserved.

Place the Body in a Suitable Location

If possible, move your pet's body to a cool, shaded area. Avoid leaving it exposed to the sun or in an area where it may attract insects or other animals.

Contact Paws in Heaven

We can provide guidance on how to proceed and may take care of the appropriate care of the body Monday through Friday 9am - 3pm.

Extra small pets are all that weigh less than 5 pounds
